Google Forms vs SurveyMonkey
Round 1: Pricing
|Pro||Free!||$65 /month (paid annually)|
Winner: Google Forms!
Well, you can’t really beat free for pricing. SurveyMonkey has a Basic, Pro, Premium, and Platinum plan. The Basic and Pro plans lack many features, but the Premium is the same overall cost of the Pro, except paid annually – our recommended options.
Round 2: Features
|Own Domain Links||y|
|Save & Resume||BEST|
|Actions & Notifications||y|
|A/B Split Testing||y|
|Pay for Selected Responses||BEST|
|Optimized for Mobile||y||y|
Google Forms has some great features available for a free program, but the advanced ones really need some scripting experience to set up. SurveyMonkey is clearer and more intuitive, as well as containing some extra features not available in Google Forms. SurveyMonkey also lets you pay to find survey responders in specific demographics.
Round 3: Integrations
|Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce)||Y|
You can access the Google Forms API yourself for custom development, but you can only integrate with other Google Aps or with other programs through Zapier. SurveyMonkey integrates with several email marketing and customer relationship platform.
Round 4: Language support
|No Language Support||55 Languages supported|
Google Forms currently does not support more than one language being displayed in you forms, though there are third-party apps that can be added as a workaround. SurveyMonkey has translations for all standard buttons and fields in 55 languages, and more than one language can be included in the same form for bilingual responders. Questions and answers are not translated automatically but there is a multilingual library of common questions available.
