Well, you can’t really beat free for pricing.  With Qualtrics plans starting from $2500 a year, it’s not a budget option, but the features are top of their class. Qualtrics offer a free trial account for up to 250 responses.

Winner: Qualtrics!

Google Forms has some great features available for a free program, but the advanced ones really need some scripting experience to set up. Qualtrics is the Ferrari of survey software, with dozens of question types and as many ways to analyze the responses.

Winner: Qualtrics!

You can access the Google Forms API yourself for custom development, but you can only integrate with other Google Aps or with other programs through Zapier. Qualtrics has API access but doesn’t attempt to integrate with anything other than Salesforce.

Round 4: Language support

Winner

Winner: Qualtrics!

Google Forms currently does not support more than one language being displayed in you forms, though there are third-party apps that can be added as a workaround. Qualtrics does not have standard questions translated, but does support multiple languages per survey, and can automatically populate the survey with machine translation.

The battle score

Overall Winner: Qualtrics!

But you might prefer Google Forms if:

  • You have a low budget
  • You have scripting experience
  • You don’t mind a steep learning curve to get cheap and powerful features
